Liberation Marathon # 60
Date: October 29, 2020
My Time: 4:39:30
By Dr. Barefoot Sidy Diallo
I've run so far 291 marathons and ultramarathons since October 2010, including 10 marathons and one ultramarathon (50.52 km) during the month leading to the second French lockdown (September 28 to October 29, 2020). I did the last three marathons in four days, finishing my 60th liberation marathon a few hours before Covidism brutally reinstated the ban on freedom of movement.
For the record, the COVID-19 is seriously impacting, or killing those suffering from chronic diseases, which are the comorbidities of the pandemic. What’s more, the World Health Organization (WHO) points out that these chronic diseases “kill 41 million people each year” as the result of “tobacco use, physical inactivity, the harmful use of alcohol and unhealthy diets.” So why, since the outbreak of the COVID-19, governments, whose purpose is alleged to save lives, are restricting or altogether banning physical activity, and not raising awareness about the other risk factors (tobacco, alcohol, excess of food, etc.), so that some people become more vulnerable to the pandemic, and therefore more likely to die from it or the aggravated comorbidities?
My book Running Barefoot for Human Survival is available on Amazon in paperback and e-book format (French edition: Courir pieds nus pour sauver les humains).
