My 67th Birthday Barefoot Marathon
Barefoot Marathon # 105
Marathon # 337
Date: March 22, 2022
My Time: 5:33:14
By Dr. Barefoot Sidy Diallo
Asymmetric Information + Bullshit Receptivity = Comorbidities + Global Warming
Correcting the left terms of the equation is the precondition for a successful prevention of comorbidities and effective global warming mitigation. I’m not just talking the talk, but also walking the walk, running the run barefoot, etc.
As a result, I’m fit and healthy at 67, so much so that three days after the 2022 EcoTrail Paris—which I ran with worn-out minimalist shoes—I easily and unconventionally celebrated my 67th birthday by doing my 105th barefoot marathon, finishing the run without any pain or injury. When I met Olivier Daire, a neighbor who was doing his lunch break jog with minimalist shoes, he joyfully took them off and ran with me 7 km or so.
I thoroughly explain in my book Running Barefoot for Human Survival why my experience will work for all humans who have not yet lost their physical or cognitive abilities, regardless of age, gender or the density of melanin—the black pigment that protects us against excessive ultraviolet radiation and defines our hair and skin color.
Running Barefoot for Human Survival is available on Amazon in paperback and e-book format (French edition: Courir pieds nus pour sauver les humains).
