The Barefoot Marathon Globetrotter
By Dr. Barefoot Sidy Diallo
I've completed at least one marathon and one ultramarathon on each of the 7 continents: Antarctica, Africa, North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Oceania.
I've run over 400 marathons and ultramathons with the unique purpose to stay fit and healthy, and promote around the world the fitness and health benefits of long-distance running.

I’ve completed between two and tens of marathons or ultramarathons in each of the following 30 countries: Antarctica, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Netherlands, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Chile, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Norway, Panama, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Vietnam and the United States.
And here’s the full list of the countries where I completed at least one marathon or ultramarathon, including Ivory Coast where I experienced arguably the world worst marathon, which on its second half turned out to be literally a fight for survival. I ran barefoot in the countries in red.
