I ran my 417th marathon and 135th barefoot marathon in the southern coast of Gran Canaria—a Spanish island off the coast of Africa and an awesome tropical paradise. I completed the scenic race with my sons Cedric Diallo and Alexandre Diallo. I was also pleased to do Europe’s southernmost marathon with fellow barefoot runner Joan Querol Olcina.
