This was my second private marathon in England after the 2022 O’Mycron Marathon in London’s Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. I also did the Leamington Spa parkrun # 568 on June 24, and I ran barefoot the 2023 Leamington Spa Half Marathon the next day. I did the marathon mostly along the River Leam, the Grand Union Canal and the River Avon, in the gardens of Leamington Spa and Warwick, and on the course of the Leamington Spa parkrun.
I started doing private marathons and ultramarathons in 2020 in reaction to the worldwide race cancellations and other destructive restrictions that expectedly ended up badly impacting the physical and mental health of many people.
