I ran barefoot in Bucharest, Romania, the second half of my 116th marathon.
I unexpectedly won the Crazy Costume Contest (Romanian: “Concursul de costume traznite”), thanks to my unusual outfit. Most interestingly, I was able to run barefoot 21.1 km for the first time: I ran the first half of the marathon with minimalist shoes and barefoot the second half.
