The name "France Marathon" refers to my private races on 42.2 km in France since July 2025. I started doing private marathons in reaction to the worldwide race cancellations during the Covid era. It turns out that, given that many official marathons are now selling out increasingly faster, organizing private marathons is proving to be a very positive legacy of Covid.
For the Inaugural France Marathon, I set off in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, headed to Guyancourt and Voisins-le-Bretonneux. I ran later through the domain of the Versailles Palace (km 20 to km 25) on my way to Paris, where I finished the race at the Eiffel Tower.
