I did the 2026 Global Bastille Day Marathon on July 14th in Playa del Inglés, Gran Canaria (Spain). I set off early in the morning with my wife Gisèle Diallo. We took a Zumba break from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Gisèle completed a half marathon after passing a replica of the Eiffel Tower. I later finished my 581st marathon in front of the same Eiffel Tower on Avenida de Francia (France Avenue).
