Sadly, there’s no more an urban marathon in any of the major Canary Islands. Gran Canaria stopped its marathon event altogether last year, while Tenerife stopped the marathon distance but kept the half marathon distance. Therefore, upon completing the Half Marathon, I went to the lovely Garcia Sanabria Park where I walked the remaining distance to reach 42.2 km. I did barefoot the whole distance.
