I did this barefoot marathon just three days after completing the Lanzarote Marathon. It’s the best and healthiest way to visit Puerto del Carmen and its beautiful beaches—Playa Matagorda, Playa de los Pocillos, Playa Grande, Playa Blanca, etc. —, and watch the approaching planes, flying few meters above your head on their way to the runway of one of the busiest airports in the Canary Islands, an impressive aircraft spotting experience.
